What a jumpstart involves
We come to your vehicle with the equipment needed to deliver power to your battery, make the connections in the correct order, and start the engine. Once it is running, you can drive to wherever you need to go.
A jumpstart gets the engine running again. It does not repair a battery that no longer holds a charge, and it does not fix a charging system that is not doing its job. If either of those is the underlying problem, the vehicle may not start again after it is shut off — so it is worth having the battery and charging system checked.

When to call for help
Connecting a vehicle to an external power source involves handling live electrical connections and a battery that can vent flammable gas. Making the connections in the wrong order, or connecting to the wrong terminals, can damage vehicle electronics or cause injury.
If you are not confident doing it, if you cannot see what you are connecting to, if the battery looks damaged, swollen or is leaking, or if you are somewhere unsafe, call for help instead. Many newer vehicles also have specific manufacturer procedures and designated jump-start points that differ from older vehicles.
If a jumpstart is not enough
